Here is a simple, 10-minute routine to protect your emotional energy:
1. The No-Screen Rule (Minutes 0-2)
Before you touch your phone, take two minutes to simply exist. Acknowledge three things you are grateful for. This shifts your brain from "scarcity mode" to "abundance mode."
2. Hydrate and Breathe (Minutes 2-5)
Drink a glass of water. While you do, practice Box Breathing:
* Inhale for 4 seconds.
* Hold for 4 seconds.
* Exhale for 4 seconds.
* Hold for 4 seconds.
3. Set One Clear Intent (Minutes 5-8)
Don't look at your whole To-Do list. Ask yourself: "What is the one thing I can do today that will make me feel proud?" Write it down.
4. Move Your Body (Minutes 8-10)
You don't need a gym. Just stretch your arms, touch your toes, or do a quick 2-minute yoga flow. Movement releases endorphins that act as natural stress-fighters.
